...is there yet a way of just placing cities and units on the map, like you could in Civ 2? Or will we have to wait for a new patch to the Editor?

Hmmm, I thought so. Shame really as the scenarios gave Civ 2 a whole new lease of life.

I don't suppose anyone has the faintest idea when/if the editor will support those functions?

They have told us a few times that they are "working" ( :sarcastic: ) on a better editor, with the ability to add units/cities... It will most likely come in an XP...
