  • Wiping out a civ

Right - you've captured or razed all of a civ's cities. They have one naval vessel left (say a Galley). Presumably that last ship contains their last settler as well (this after you've already wiped them out once and they've respawned). You kill that Galley, permanently erasing them from history, but then the game crashes. What gives?

This is something I've noticed right from the beginning and it doesn't seem to have been fixed by the two patches. Is there any way of solving this?

This is a known bug. In the first version of the game it just corrupted the save games which could be repired with Gramphos' Tool but since 1.16 there have been these crashes instead.

Maybe you could load a saved game and edit the Civ or the settler out of it with Gramphos' Tool.
