see... we've got a bit of a problem. they're not quite finished flushing out the armies for the new edition of fantasy, so it'll a smidge difficult to capture the full flavor of the units. plus, we'll have to figure out a way to balance out the rank and file with dragons and war machines.
if anyone can email me a copy of some stats for units, i can get started on that.I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.

My friend and I toyed with the idea of a 40k mod a few months ago, and we typed up some preliminary statistics for the units, but that was about it.
Also, I had planned to avoid the whole "make new terrain" problem by making specific scenarios, such as Armageddon or the Siege of Terra, and having the whole game take place on a single planet.
There really isn't much technological advancement in the 40k universe though, so almost all technology would probably be available when the game started, which would kinda suck.
The alternative would be to have the game start around 25,000 AD, and have 1 turn = 100 years, and 1 turn = 10 years in the modern era.

OK people, I've set up a website for us all to keep in contact and discuss the mod etc. I'd like you all to join up and participate wether you are already a team member, want to be a team member or have some constructive criticism. Also if you know anyone that doesn't use Apolyton but could be willing to help out then please pass on the URL to them.
You can find the site here Civilization III Warhammer Mod ForumIf you have any interest in Games Workshop games then please contact me!

That's weird, I can't login either and I validated through the email and everything. Oh, well here's a preview of an Elf Princess Leader Flic set I'm working on: GhengisFarb's Leaderhead Previews

I finished the body movement for the elf princess and put the base animation in to the fantasy mod I'm working on while I'm testing some other modifications. Needless to say, the elf player is always the first and most frequent civ I negotiate with.
The small animated gif at my preview thread doesn't do the full sized, fully posed animation justice.
Not on topic, but here's one of the middle frames from the Boudicca base animation I'm working on (she could also be used as an alternate German or Empire leaderhead- wasn't there a period in the Empire's history where they had 3 emperorers, one of which was a woman?). Don't know if the Queen of the Celts had red hair but I figure after the job Firaxis did to Genghis Khan it's close enough.

"She was huge of frame, terrifying of aspect, and with a harsh voice. A great mass of bright red hair fell to her knees: she wore a twisted torc, and a tunic of many colours, over which was a thick mantle, fastened by a brooch. Now she grasped a spear, to strike fear into all who watched her." -Dio Cassius
Guess I was right on about the hair color but I probably ought to make her more muscular...

Gentlemen, I've tried to log into the CIV III forum, but have been unsuccessful. I have been doing combat comparisons and conversions for the Empire forces. I have a partial list of units, but would prefer to not post a partial listing. As anyone given a thought as to how we are going to intregrate magic? The various magic missle spells are obvious, but the healing and terrain mod spells? Can we somehow make units have the functions of city improvements outside of the cities? Obviously, this is for the programmers, of which I am not. Hell, I can't even figure out how to set my bombarding units to lethal.Lude Fortier, Lude Juste, Nemini Damnum!
