I noticed that some custom units come without sound files. Does this mean that they are completely silent? Plus, is it possible to copy sound files from one unit folder to another (say Marine to Grunt) and do I need to rename the new .wav files so they refer to Grunt and not Marine?

Look in the ini file to see what sound files they're using. They just require a text editor like notepad or wordpad to open. If you've used the civ copy tool to make your unit it will point to the sound files of the original unit so you dont have to copy them for your new unit.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI
