How do you "wheel" units in the editor so that they cannot cross mountain squares? Also, is there a way to prevent any unit from passing a certain form of terrain? Any help is appreciated.

How to "wheel" units?

Wheeled is a flag that you check in the unit portion of the editor. I cant think of any other way to prevent movement across a specific terrain. We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

There's a window in the bottom left corner of the unit screen that has a list of abilities you can give to units. Look in there for the "Wheeled" ability, then Ctrl-click on it. Other than that, there's no other way to limit their access to a particular terrain.

Terrain is one of those parts of the game that is not very tolerant of radical changes. Altering terraforming bonuses is all fine and good, but trying to add, remove, or do otherwise strange things to the terrain is ill-advised.
In other words, best to leave the mountains be. They like being mountains.

Since we have Dan's attention...
There also isn't a way to add a new terraforming option... is that a possibility in future versions of the editor? I'm thinking back to the Civ II post refrigeration terraforming. I'd like to be able to "urbanize" land around the city, and see residential/commercial/industrial structures pop up along with increased production of one type or another. It would give the map a better feel and reflect reality better IMHO.

so...
so if there is no way to make a certain terrain impassable by any unit, is there then a way to "wall" off the left and right sides of the map? That is, is there a way to prevent the wrap around effect? (pretend I want to make the world square instead of cylindrical)
