  • VERY slow turns after mods

    I combined the WW2-mod ( by Grey Fox ) with Norm's Huge Euromap and wrote a CPT file to get the right positions for the Civs. The game starts out normal and sometimes after 10 to 30 turns every turn starts to take nearly 5 minutes ( on an Athlon 1200 MHz this should not be ;-) ).
    If anybody knows what could cause that plz drop a line.....

    The size of the map, the cuantity of units, the number of civs... there are many aspects that the AI need to ... (how the other people named that?)... Well, mine is an Athlon 1.4GHZ and with 256 memory RAM and still slow...

      I turned down the number of civs to 7 already and I got 512 MB RAM. And the same mod on a Huge Random map calculates turns in under 20 seconds..... so the size differency alone should not stretch the turn calculation time from 20 sec to over 5 minutes....
      And playing the Euro-Map without the WW2 mod works decently fast too.... so it really is just the combination of the two, but I stil search for the exact reason....
