    1. Get Civ3MultiTool from the files forum
    2. Start the CopyTool
    3. Load the BIC with the rules
    4. Click on the text "File contains no map"
    5. Select "Import Map"
    6. Select the BIC with the map and click okay. It will save automaticly (uses old system, (I'll cahnge it to use settings in a later version))

      I know one workaround:

First I assume that map has no custom rules of its own.

      Second,

      -backup original civ3mod.bic
-replace original civ3mod.bic with your custom bic
      -then load map
      -remove use stardard rules flag
      -save
      -restore old civ3mod.bic

      Now, map has custom rules.

If map HAS custom rules of its own, you should try first to add map rules to your own custom MOD, then remove cutomization from map (you need to load it first) and save.
After that, repeat things from first section.

      WARNING:
Some pre 1.17f maps have Aluminium and Oil on Plains which is removed in 1.17f
In that case you should first make change to original civ3mod.bic (bakcup first) so it will have Aluminum & Oil on Plains.
That way when you remove customization from map file, Aluminium and Oil won't disapier.
This needs to be done even if map has no custom rules.

Yes, it's easier then doing it manually.
