  • serious problem with editor

Ok, i was fooling around with naval units movements, cuz i thought they should be able to cross an ocean, right?

well... the game seems to disagree, and its throwing a hissyfit cuz i changed its values.

All i did was change some movement and attack values for a couple of units, and now i am completely unable to start a new game, play a scenario, play a quickgame... well.. to sum it up, the only options that work on the main page are Load Game, both Preferances, and Exit. Even my hall of fame won't open. I just click it, hear the "thump" noise, and nothing happens.

Also, when i try to play a scenario... it says something like 'Scenario version 3.0 no longer valid.

What could be wrong? how could I fix it?

P.S. I installed the Fascist patch earlier tonight, and tested it, and everything was working fine. It was only after my personal changes that this has happend. Also note this is the first time i personally change values in the editor.

    Do you use 1.17f?

The first 1.17f patch had a wrong editor version that did not work with the game and could be responsible for your problem.
Redownload the correct 1.17 or simply the editor (here on apolyton) and reinstall/copy the editor over the wrong one.

If you don't use 1.17f or have the correct version: Sorry, no idea what could cause this.
