Is it possible to install the editor by itself?

In other words not having to do the minimum installation of the game which takes about 500 megs.
I want to install it at work cause altough I can't play at "work", I could do some map making.
I downloaded the file from apolyton but when I run it it asks for the game to be installed. Having the CD in the drive alone is not sufficient.

I believe the editor is available as a standalone file. Download that.

You would need the Art\Terrain folder at least, and all the Icom PCXs, and civ3mod.bic. I don't know if oyu need any more files.

I tried ti do it in parts, adn didn`t work, is better to install the game. Do not provoque (o wathever spell it) your boss wrath
