Question about luxuryicons_small.pcx

I found this graphics file, I'm not the only one I bet. I can reason that these icons show up in the city screen with happy faces if the city has access to them. Now to my questions.

1) Can I modify this file to make room for more icons?

2) Are the green numbers important in any way?

3) Does anyone have a modified copy of the file with extra room?

4) Why are there two rows of the same icons, and how should a modder arrange the icons if he adds more?

I've seen it, but I don't know for sure how to edit it. It seems as the first row is the real one, but I'm not sure.

I have no green numbers, but numbers with color 254, which as far as I know are removed on the load.

Oh yeah sorry, the color was 218,0,218 (dark purple). I'm used to seeing green text in icon sheets. I'll tinker with it later and attempt to add my own luxuries.

I've had problems adding more luxury resources, as have some other people. And as I understand it, having more that 8 has no effect on your people's happiness, though I haven't put that to the test myself. The game simply won't recognize any more by the sounds of it though. So you might find that playing around with that file may be more trouble than it's worth.

You may be right Willem, but suppose the player has access to four luxuries, two of them are created by me. I'd like him to see icons for those luxuries I'll give it a try later on.
