  • Problems with startup!!!!! Help me, please!!!!

I don't know what else to do. I've got everything installed properly and all of my video and graphics are working perfectly, but for some reason when I get to the start-up screen where you select new game, load game, etc. it comes up in 3 different screens. There are cursors, and three menus to chose from. When I select one of them, it does the same thing as it progresses. Does anybody know what the heck is going on?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds as if you are low on RAM. Have you tried a reboot?

Actually, I have tried a reboot, but that didn't seem to work. I also checked my RAM and everything seemed okay there too.

Try to change the res to 1024x768
it is civilization3.ini, it should be in the same directory as the game. You might not always ee the .ini part.

              okay, I changed the resolution.

is there an icon associated with the .ini file? I am still not seeing it.

DX version is 8.0 just and is just what was reccommended.

I wish that I knew which one was the INI file. I'm going to send an attatchment, but I don't know if this is it or not.

No, not that file, Civilization3.ini. You might have to deselect to not view the fle extension for registered types in the windows explorer options.
                        Try DX 8.0a
