Good Lord Please Help Me!

I had civ3 installed on my PC before, but then I cleared it out and started anew. When I put the CD in, the autorun starts, and when the setup starts, the installsheild completes, but then setup stops and I get this message:
Unhandled Exception
Error number: whatever
Description: Incompatable version of the RPC Stub
Setup will now terminate.

What the hell does that mean? Like I said, this game ran beautifully on the exact same system before. If anyone can even give me a clue I'd be grateful.

I have no idea, but maybe when you cleared out your machine you may have lost some files that were essencial to the installation process. But I really don't know.

Actually, it turns out that another program had changed my oleaut32.dll file. Thanks anyway though, I really appreciate it!
