civ 3 lags

I have problem playing civ. When i start the game all goes fine but when the actual game starts all units lags so much it looks like fps is like 1-2. moving takes 5 secs to complete and building city also about 5 secs. anyone else having/had this problem and do you have possible solution for this

I use winxp, i have voodoo 3 2000, 1.4ghz athlon xp, 448 mb ram. and yes i have tried newest drivers for every card along with other drivers so... help

I reinstalled my OS and now everything is ok. you aren't gonna want to hear this i know...sorry ;0(
