Request for a hacker

I think I've discovered that the tech icons are located here:
CivilizationIII\Art\tech chooser\Icons

But the silly editor won't let me specify numbers higher than 82, which is the icon for Writing. To get that semi-professional feel, I really like to add some icons. Can someone with the know-how plz hack the editor and increase the number limit?

1.maybe it depends on the number of advances there are in the bic-file, if there are only 82 advances, you only get 82 icons.

2.maybe you have to you add more icons to the folder?, maybe you can't choose above 83, because there is no icon 83.

3.if that isn't the case, maybe there is some txt-file that specifies how many icons there are.

i haven't got any experience with adding icons, but i think it must be 1 or 2, or a combination of them

No, the advances are there, and so is the two icons I tried to use.

then it must be hardcoded in the editor, you could change the icon number with a hex-editor.

I doubt you could do it through a hex editor, since the file is bound to have more than one '52' (82 in hex) in it.

that depends on the editor you're using, and if you look at the "civ3 bic file format" thread at the top, you'll know where to look, i already changed some things with a hex editor that couldn't be changed with the normal editor.
