  • how do i turn off cultural victory in an extant savegame?

ok, this one is frustrating. i started a game and very carefully turned off cultural victory. then 1904 comes along, and bam.... 100,000 culture. i said fine, whatever, i've got civ3savedit, i'll just turn it off. so i did, and then when i load up the game and go from turn to turn... i won again

what else can i do? can i edit the victory conditions in the rules? i'm currently using the lwc mod.

are there other save game editors i should try?
it's just my opinion. can you dig it?

    Can you post the save?

I want to take a look at it.

      i can try.

wait... no i can't. attachment limit is listed as 500k, but this file is 6.83mb, and i doubt i can get to zip with 93% compression

i'll happily email it to you, or upload it to an ftp if you've got one handy, though.

edit: i'm currently using lwc release 3. i just realized there's a release five for me to try out... i wonder if it'll retroactively affect my game.

zip it, and send it to viktor.griph@edu.norrkoping.se

(it is said that I'm not alloed to have more then 10 MB there, but I think an admin made a mistake, that allows me 50 MB (the same as for teachers), but in any case I don't want 6.8 MB in the mailbox any way.)

Most saves zip that far. somewhere 200-700 kB I think zipped.

BTW, I've received the file, and will look at it in one or two days (have some schoolwork to attend to first)

well, i just grabbed the latest version of c3mt and gave it a shot... i just made it to 1904 without a cultural victory!

so looks like you don't need to test it...

(now all i just get to play, and lament that i'm on lwc erp3, rather than erp6 :/)
