save game problem

On loading a saved game the timer gets to 57%, waits awhile and then I get the message:

DataIO Error
DataIO operation
System Error : Unit

This also happens on all the autosaves of that game.

No problems starting a new game or loading autosaves of other games.

What's the problem and is there anyway to get the saved game back?

Did you make any changes in the Editor? If you did, your save games may refuse to load. This is mainly true of adding Improvements/Units. Minor parameter changes don't cause this problem. If you did add a Unit, as the last error line would suggest, just remove it and the game will load again.

Thanks, but I hadn't changed anything. One day I loaded it up, played the game, and saved it. The next day I couldn't get it open.
