  • Is this bic file corrupted?

This is the file I have been using for the Medpack III. I used CopyTool to add various things to the bic.
The latest bug is that the game crashes whenever the Man-O-War is selected in the build queue. All I have done is re-name the unit to the Ship-of-the-Line, and make it available to all civs.

I just had a similar problem with an Army copy I made in CopyTool. As it turned out, the .ini file in the Art>Units folder was wrong. It was pointing to the Settler files not the Army. So check to see if there is a folder that says Ship Of The Line, and that the .ini file points to the Man-O-War folder, and lists the Man-O-War animations etc.

I found the reason for the Ship-of-the-Line crashes. I still have not found the cause of the divide errors I received in my two previous games. I had read in the copytool thread, I believe, about that file corrupting bic files. I was not able to find the posts that started the discussion to find out the specifics.

Yeah so, what was it? Sharing this kind of info might help someone else avoid a great deal of frustration.

Nothing amazing about the crashes. I just didn't realize that the unit folder had to be the same name as the unit's "game name". I thought that the unit folder had to match the pediaicon text. In Ctp, you could change the game name without altering any of the file names. You run into these problems when you can't read the bic file directly.
