    This is getting very wierd?!

I have no problems downloading CivStats.zip or M_M_X's files, however I cannot download Zeb and Marla's stuff.

I also have done all that has been suggested...no joy. The solution has been to download it from Civfanatics (which doesn't really fix the problem).

    any comments?

P.S. my version of WinZip is 7.0 SR-1

Gee, a MODERATOR that at least confirmed or commented on this problem would be nice...
[conspiracy theory] perhaps Infrogrames has eaten our moderators?[/conspiracy theory]

What I really think the problem is is that our computers look at the .zip files and decides weather or not we really deserve them.

I haven't been able to download ANY files, or even see the pictures put into threads. None of the things mentioned except downloading from CivFanatics seems to work.

mongoloid, you can't download any of the files, or you can only download them as attachment, or you can download them but not unzip them? which? not seeing the pictures either, hmmm, how fast is your connection and what browser are you using, that is the kind of info that the moderators would want to know.

ps. yeah i downloaded a bunch of stuff from civfanatics the other day, but they didnt have everything i wanted that is hosted on apolyton.

[IMHO] That's 'cause CivFanatics is inherently inferior to Apolyton[/IMHO]

That is assuming some moderator comes along and helps us here...

i went to civfanatics and found most of what i was looking for except i still havent found the resource gfx mod that i downloaded a while back. its the one that has letters for all resources, each in a white bubble, and luxury, strategic, and that third option each had a different color letter.

marla's file and other such files have problems cause they have more than one dots (".") in their filenames

the script is confused and cant get the extension of the file to determine it's type

Is someone going to fix the filenames?
To us, it is the BEAST.

Well ? I have the same problem, am downloading using IE 5.50.4807.2300. Have tried unzipping using PowerDesk 4.0.12.1 and pkunzip 2.04g, even tried running pkzipfix. I get the problem on:

check for that graphic on civfanatics, their downloads work in my experience.

                            I'm running win98 2nd edition.
Well, correct my assertion about pkzipfix. It does fix all these corrupted files - I was just looking in the wrong place. These graphics look nice - on my PC!

MarkG, I'll PM you details (byte sizes, etc) if it's helpful to troubleshoot.

a zipped copy of pkzipfix.exe is attached here - others might find it useful. It's free for personal use.

lol I'll have to download zipfix from somewhere else, because the file you uploaded needs to be fixed when I download it. I'll come back later after I've tried pkzipfix.

                              IT FREAKIN WORKS!!

ok if anyone needs a copy of it, i did the searching for you and it can now be found on my website.

                              students.washington.edu/mizaq/pkzipfix.exx

save as pkzipfix.exe and then run it from the command window (eg pkzipfix taipei~1.zip) and then it will create a zip file named pkfixed.zip in that same directory which will contain the contents you are trying to get. now I don't have to hunt for **** at civfanatics I can just troll around here for new stuff.

I was wondering if Belchingjester was trying to be ironic..

Eitherway it's an unwritten universal law that the Pkzipfix download would need to be fixed..it just makes to much sense.

...just goes to show there is a supreme being afterall.
