How do I make the task bar appear?

I've loaded the full game (700mb) and the patchs 1.16 & No-CD onto the hard drive. When I load the game the task bar at the bottom of my screen disappears.

Any idea how I can get this to appear?

Reason.
To enable me to get a print of the map I hit the "screen print" button. I must then save the game, quit the game, open MS Word and paste onto a word document.
I can then print the map and study it for potential strategies and game playing ideas.

What about using the start button on the keyboard?
Or Ctrl-Esc (does the same thing).
Alt-Tab also works, so start up Word (or better, an image program) BEFORE starting CivIII. Then Alt-Tab between the progs when you are ready to copy&paste.

Brain overload. I was so wrapped thinking the editor needed tweaking I forgot about the obvious keyboard functions.
