CIV 3 wont work at all...
I just bought CIV 3 the other day and installed it and everything was going fine until i found out the game wasn't gonna play. I click on the desktop icon for CIV 3 and the cd is in the drive so it starts up and the splash screen comes up for CIV 3 and then like three seconds later the splash screen just closes and the game does nothing. And it does that every single time. I updated to the new 1.16f version patch. I have windows ME on my computer. I have an Intel 810 graphics controller. I have 400 RAM. I have my resolution set to 1024x768. I have a Pentium 3 processor with 800 mhz. I play Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Ghost Recon and alot of other new games i have perfectly on my system without any trouble. Two days ago i files a report stating my problem to the help place on the CIV 3 home site. I havn't gotten anything back from them yet. I have tried to uninstall my Adaptec CD burner from my computer. I cannot get this game to run. Please Help!!!!

try to download new patches of your soundcard and 3D Card.

This might be the known patch/installation bug. Did you run the game once before installing the patch, or did you have this problem out of the box? If it's the former you need to:
Install the game
Reboot
Run the game
Install the patch
Reboot
Run the game
If it's the latter, I would try their tech support number and give them the error message.Comment

For this prob just right click on ''civilization3.exe'' in your installation folder and click ''properties''. Then click on ''compatibility''. Choose ''windows98 / me''
