Does anybody know what is the maximum of tiles a map can have?

The largest X*Y value is 256*256 = 65536 tiles, if you use the editor.

Is it then possible to somehow re-arrange those 65536 tiles so i could have 280 tiles in one direction and 230 in another or something like that?

Acctuallt the largest is 256*256/2 tiles = 32768 tiles.

As only every second X cord is used (Odd x with odd y and even x with even y)

The editor doesn't allow bigger dimension then 256.
