  • Destruction of enemy's capital didn't destroy their spaceship

    Is it a bug ?
Is it because I razed it instead of captured it ?
If it's a bug, has it been fixed in the patch ?

    Thanks

not sure if its a bug or not, and whether it is addressed in the patch, but to destroy enemy spaceship you've got to occupy his capital, not destroy it i.e. when Military adviser says: Sire, our armies have captured...." and asks you what to do choose "Install a new governor" option, NOT "We don't need it. Raze the city".

The manual says in the "changes from Civ II" section that capturing enemy capitols no longer destroys their spaceship. There is no way to stop it once it's been launched - sorry.

Maza Naza, at page 152 of the manual, it's written:"A spaceship is in many ways one-shot deal. You can construct a second spaceship only if your current one is DESTROYED - that is if your capital city is captured while your ship is under construction (the conqueror destroy it on the launch pac)."

I didn't found your reference in the manual. Please, could you tell me which page ?

        Thanks

Wisecat, finally I have tested it and you're right:

Install a new governor = destroy the spaceship

Raze it = don't destroy the spaceship
