  • Simple Civ 3 Tips & Tricks (mostly for begginers)

Some tips that might have been overlooked by some people, please feel free to add more:

    Tips:

    1. Corruption on a pangea map is higher than normal.

    2. Science no longer works like in Civ 2, were you could just build up many cities to expand your science. In Civ 3 the only thing that will minimize time taken to research are libraries, universities and research labs, you should build a libraries as soon as possible.

    3. Cruise missiles and tactical nukes are transported faster on road and railroad.

    4. Cruise missiles can be sabotaged by any other ground unit.

    5. Trading a resource with your opponants can give you up to 50 gold per turn, trading science is also very effective and gives your science rate a speed bonus.

    Tricks:

    1. Building on top of a resource gives you that resource automaticlly, without needing a road.

    2. Building a city next to an opponants colony(s) destroys them.

    3. If there is a tribes village(s) (goody hut) close to one of your cities, once your borders expand you automaticlly get the bonus(s).
