How to play on a decent Earth Map (Huge) with correct starting locations in 30sec's

The following is taken from various posts on the Civilization Fanatics Forum; my reason for posting them here is to bring the excellent work of Marla Singer to the attention of Apolyton members.........................

Edit: Ack! didn't see that this was already in the Civ3 Files area, tried to delete the thread but couldn't. Could a mod delete please!
