  • Map Making

In the map editor in civ2 you could not only choose between "large maps", "standard maps" and so on. You could also choose how many tiles you wanted in each direction on a map when making a new one.
Is this implemented in civ3? If so, how do i do it?

You can customize the size of your map. That's how I did: at first, go in the tool menu of the civ3 editor and put off the "use default rules" thing. Then, go in the thing to edit rules, go in world size and change the size of one of the 5 choices as you want it. If you don't want to edit rules, I advise you edit the size that looks the most as the one you want.
After, you just have to generate a new map with the size you want. If you want to restore default rules after, you can, and your map will keep its size.

That's how I did for my world map which is available in here:

(sorry for the ad by I took a long time to make it and I'm happy of the result but no one cares about it, it's unfair!)

By the way, here's the snapshot of my map (204x256):
