No Culture from Captured Wonders?

Just captured JS Bach's Cathedral and Shakepeare's Theatre in two seperate enemy cities - and discovered that I do not obtain any Culture points from them. I get the Happy Faces, but nothing else. Built a temple in each city, quelled the resistance, and still no culture. Do get culture from the Temple.

Anyone else seen this? Is it a bug or a feature? If I let the other Civs get their cities back, will they get culture from the Wonders they created?

A wonder does only generate culture for the civ that built it. If they take it back it will generate culture again.
