  • Leaders, Golden Age

    Hi.

Can I have two or more leaders at the same time ?
Can I have Golden Age more then one time ?

I'm not sure about the multiple simultaneous leaders, but you only get one golden age per game. Time it carefully it's a huge waste if you get it as a Despotism with 5 size 1-2 cities

I have gotten three leaders within a very short time period(10-20 turns) once, so I think you can. But I always turned the leader into armies, so I don't know if you can have two leaders on the board at the same time.

        And some further leader tips...

If you don't need armies (especially if you're into diplomatic or/and cultural victory), you may want to complete Great or Small Wonders in one turn by moving the Leader unit into that city and voilà! After giving the right command, the construction work will be completed in 1 turn, so that the building will be ready next turn. It doesn't matter how advanced the work is, so it's better to switch to a Great or Small Wonder just before the Leader unit arrives.

Curses, I thought it just added a lot of shields. Next time I'm keeping leaders hanging around until I can build a really expensive Wonder.
Or armies once I move away from chieftain level. Amazing that I used to win at Deity on civ II, but now get my ass kicked on regent.

kailhun, I suggest Modern Times Great Wonders as priority Leader construction works. Other Great Wonders are also good, but the Modern Times ones cost most shields.

I disagree Resbalin. I ussually can build any modern wonder in about 6 or so turns (11 if it's one of those really expensive ones). I'd prefer to throw a leader at a mideivel wonder or even an ancient wonder cause they ussually take plenty (hundreds in some cases) to build. Also, another great strategy is to sack the leaders for a Forbidden Palace since in the region where you'll need it, you'll probably have a producion in the single digits.

i'd go with DK every time!

the easy bit is making the shields to build wonders late on, getting the techs to do it is the hard part!
