Unlike the other "Make my game pop flowers out of the CD-ROM" impossible mod ideas, I thought I might post this one.
Many people are complaining about the bad combat system. So rather than waiting for Firaxis to redo it (which they won't.. the game is out.. a patch doesn't redo the entire game), simply tweak the more modern units. Make units significantly stronger as you get deeper into the tech tree. It's fairly easy to make, and can solve many people's nightmares.
