mmhh - i wasnt sure about hengest.
if they were anglo-saxons they should be english leaders. firaxis made a strange choice there. there are so many others who lead german armys (even many who werent nazis) like rommel

Feel free to add them anytime.

          korn469,

Sure. As long as you sneak a credit in there somewhere, feel free to use it. I'm working on a third version (with some Iroquois city names I found masquerading as county names) and some more leader names, you might want to wait a couple days for that.

I also just noticed that I somehow uncorrected "Teotihuacan" in the second version, I haven't the faintest idea how I did that, but it'll be fixed in the third.

              Hey, Great work !

I've found it really funny when I started to found ski resorts as new cities !! Meribel, Tignes, Val d'Isère... French Alps rule !
By the way, where have you find all that old names of french cities? Vaucresson, Saulieu, etc.... ?

                Invitation

Sevorak and all others in this thread. I'm currently working on the ExtraPack and plan also to change the city names, leaders of the existing Civs. I'll start a thread on those changes tomorrow night and invite everybody to join in and propose city names for the lists and names for the leaders.

                  Iroquois City Names

Here's a good site I found for historic Iroquois city names...

                  Hope this helps!

                      Bump!

Sevorak, you've answered a prayer! I think I'll wait until after the patch to download, however.

Sev, you get my 5-star rating for your attention to detail and accuracy, not to mention persistence!

                        Thanks!

                          Thanx for your mod !

While testing the earth map I've made, I've been in front of the city names problem. I would love to use your names for the map, can I have your agreement ? (PLEEEAAASE ! SAY YES !)

By the way, great idea for the accent on Orléans and the s removed from Lyon and Marseille ! I did it on my game and each time a city was founded they proposed me to name it Orleans... which was quite boring.
About french great leaders, I think Clemenceau would be a smart choice as it was the leader of french armies during the world war 1 (at least we won that one). I like a lot that guy, he has a really smart point of view on world issues at that time...

                              Updated for the patch.

                              v 3.16f

                              at the top.

Marla, same goes for you as for any other map/mod/bic maker. Feel free. It's not as if I own the city names. I would appreciate a credit somewhere, though.
