  • Crashing after editing

I've tried adding an additional unique unit to a civ; problem is that when I do that - the tech tree is screwed (can't select techs) and eventually the game crashes.

Tried changing the unique unit for a civ - ditto above.

So am I doing somethin wrong or is that stuff hard coded?

There is a problem with the tech tree when you use custom rules (and the default predrawn arrows can't be used. To play with modified rules you have to replace civ3mod.bic (make sure to backup the original))

      Replace civ3mod.bic? With what?

Isn't that what's been modified by the editor when adding/replacing a unit? So what would I replace it with?

When you add units you can select to save as another .BIC-file you should replace civ3mod.bic with the BIC-file you created (and not use start scenario, but new game.)
