CivIII locking up

Man, this is BAD...CivIII keeps on locking up for me. I play for an hour at max (normally more like five minutes) and, boom, the entire comptur locks up. Even ctrl-alt-del doesn't work.

Anyone else have this problem? My computer is OVERqualified for the game, and none of the other games I have bomb like that.

I have the same problem. It made the game unplayable. I exceed all minimum resources, and I bought a new 3d card, just before I got the game. Hopefully the patch will fix the lockups.

Happened to me once only .. in a city view ... it seemed to get muddled up between the normal map view and the city view, and then completely locked me out. I was able to get to the task list in XP (Ctrl-Shft-Esc) and kill it though .. but that was all I could do ...

Same here, game bombs now and then.
With all the NVidia problems and this one, I sometimes wish I didn't start playing with it... --->addict<---

It's such a nice & cool game.... like the original one....
