    I have a few question.

    1. I upg 55 infantry into mech.infantry and they all unfortified and I had press "f" button for 55 times. Is that necesessary?

    2. When I build a tank for excample my governonr then changes production to build some useless cavalry. So how can I put it to produce the same thing it was builiding?

    3. I am bored to watch every turn how A.I. is moving their units. Can I turn it off so computer wont show me a thing?

    2. I think there is some kind of govenors menu, I haven't used it because I have heard people complaining that it is buggy, the build queue works well for this. Just zoom to the city screen then click on the production button. Select the item you want and you hit shift and then click a bunch of times and fill the queue with what you want it to produce. You can always change it later.

    3. Check the preferences menu, you can also hold down shift during the AI movements and they go a lot faster. This is what I usually use because I like to see what the sneaky AI is doing. I think they are going to try and fix all the unnecessary patrolling in the patch, though, so that should help.

As for your first question, it is a little tedious, but it is also nice to know where the stuff I just upgraded is.

PapaLenin, I suggest you take a look at the manual provided with the game (paperback or PDF). The city governors' settings can be switched by clicking on the city and selecting the governor option from the pop-up menu. Then you change and disable different options.

        Thank you.

But quinella do you mean by holding the shift key the comp wont just animate the movements? ( the option which you could select from preferences ).

And Rasblein I tried to use governor menu - put him to do nothing but it doesn't help.

Papa, set all governor values to "no" in the first screen. You shouldn't then have to switch any values in the second screen after that. Before exiting the window, remember to tick the "set as default" box in the corner. This should at least help.

The sad and sorry truth is that it doesn't really help. The governor keeps changing your build orders after a unit is succesfully built, unless you have something in your queue. This is very frustrating when trying to fight a war against the Greeks and my (few, but very high culture cities kept being set to Sun Tzu's Art of War after finishing of every swordsman. finally I caved in and gave a remote city orders to build it, just so the significant ones would be able to...

Why in the world change that, I wonder... In Civ2, yes it was annoying at times to realize you'd built two fighters when you only meant to build one, but this is worse - here I'll build one fighter and then end up with a Cavalry to boot... :P
