It's a small bug. Just press "P" while selecting the target city and it will work fine.

i press P, and it still doesnt do anything, it shows the Circle with the line through it when i move the mouse over an enemy city.
Are you supposed to be able to choose exactly what improvement to destroy with precision bombing?

Oh sure, I have this problem too. Don't worry, it's easy to fix. But you will have to make a slight change in targets.

Point the cursor over one of your own cities. Should work fine then...

(It's true though. I can only precision bomb my own cities. What a great advantage, right? )

This is really stupid how precision bombing and air superiority dont work, along with coastal fortresses.

Air superiority doesn't work? Huh, I never had an enemy with flight, so I never needed it. Oh well...

yeah, its a bug in the game. Civ 3 was released too early, at least we can be thankful for patches.

You have to keep "P" pressed down while you move the mouse over enemy cities. It'll definitely work.
It's a small bug, but precision bombing does work (unlike air superiority and other stuff).

It might come in handy if you could target unhappy citizens during civil disorder

Air superiority does work for the AI. I lost a couple of bombers, and managed to take out an interceptor or two in my last game as the Germans. (standard map, 8 civs, Monarch). Suprised the heck out of me.

That's news to me, I thought no-one had managed to watch air superiority in action. Anyway, it's not even near that 50% interception chance Firaxis was talking about, it's probably 1% at best.

Nope, here's the real kicker: Air superiority works for the AI but not the human player! Meaning they shoot your bombers down, while you can't do crap about theirs.

May sound stupid, but do you have "Smart Weapons" researched yet? I think it's mentioned nowhere, but you have to have this tech in addition to "Stealth" to do precision bombing! Just because I've encountered some people recently trying to do this without having the tech needed...

Really stupid? Stupid? Did you mean to say unfortunate? Frustrating, maybe? Have you ever written a computer program beyond Hello World?
