A little help contacting other Civs

A simple question. So far, I've only been able to figure out how to contact other civs by clicking on one of their units. But sometimes none are available to click.


I've gone to the advisor without luck,

Read the almost useless manual without luck.

I know there's an easier way, but have yet to figure it out. I'm sure it's simple and I'm just having a senior moment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome.

Simplest way is to klick on the little "D" on the lower left of the screen (at the right side of the info screen).

Or you can left-klick (or double-klick? Don't remember right now) on the portraits at the foreign advisor screen.

Or press D on your keyboard.

I thought I tried that on the portraits and it didn't seem to work.

But knowing it's supposed to work instead of guessing will help.

Damn, three other ways that I didn't spot. Definately a Senior moment or two.
