How do you find out what government the AI is using?

You need a spy in the civ or an embassy and investigate a city. Their gov't type will be in the usual spot.DarkMatter

You can find that info in the military advisor screen. If you look in his/her military units column you will see "Army of the English Democracy" or "Army of the Aztec Communism."Comment
