  • How do you turn off city governors?

I contacted the governor in one city and left it on its own. Now every city I start or captures afterwards uses the governor. This is not what I want! I just wanted the governor in that one city.

I even started a new game and now all my cities use the governor! It's terrible. I have to go check my cities one by one all the time to change what they are doing.

Now my friend is over learning to play and his cities are just producing what ever they want and he doesn't even realise is half the time and he doesn't know what's goin on.

This sucks. Anyway to turn the guy off or do I have to reinstall?

U can change the governors build orders by contacting the governor. But that #$^@## doesn't listen. I hate his guts.
By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may get to be a boss and work twelve hours a day.

Well I found out how to turn off the governors for all new games and all new cities in loaded games.

Edit the Civilization3.Ini file in the civ3 root directory. Change all the 1's after Governor, Gov Prod Never, and Gov Prod Often to 0's.

However this does not turn off governors on cities that already have governors. If anyone figures this out it would be much appreciated.
