??'s for those who couldn't get past Copy Protection W/O a crack

For those who had to d/l a fixed.exe crack in order to get by the copy protection (SafeDisc2) to get the game to run, what operating system are you using and what make/model CD-ROM is in your computer?

Win 98
2 master hard drives, 2 slave cd rom drives. One's a Mitsumishi 32x, one's a Yamaha 16x2x2 CDR drive.

The game worked fine after the fixed .exe file...

I don't mind copy protection except when it forces me to WASTE $30 on a tech support phone call that didn't help.

Cassember, where did you get your fixed.exe ?
I've tried with one but it didn't work for me, maybe I didn't download the correct one !
I've got W95 and an Acer 40x
