  • Huge Bug

I haven't seen anyone else who has run into this, so I'll post it. Earlier today I started a new game, huge, continents, 16 civs on chieftain level. By 735, I was the most powerful civ, all around. Just messing around, I demanded the Persians tribute me 500,000,000 gold per turn or I'd declare war on them. To my utter shock, they agreed. They made good on the deal, and paid me 500 million each turn for the next 20 turns. I don't know if this is a huge bug, another example of the AI cheating horribly, or both. I've included a small screen shot I took after 2 turns, showing my 1+ billion in gold. I haven't tried this again, so it might not work. Please post if you can do this also.

    Cheers

Watch as the world ends not with a bang, but a whimper.

My friend noticed this and so have many posters. You'd think Firaxis would have noticed an error this big.

They have already noted the number over-run problem and it's in the que for the upcoming patch. There have been several other threads on the issue. Soon (if not already), you will be having NEGATIVE amounts of money in your treasury.

If the AI would cheat that badly and had 500M Money to just send you per turn, you would have been long dead
