  • Irrigation problem

I have just finished my first game on the easiest level and had no problems, but now I just started the second game on second easiest level, but I have one huge problem now. I can't irrigate anymore. I tried several times, in my first try I was the aztecs living on some small island (which means coastline for all cities ), but I only had one little square of coastline in the middle of the dessert, from there I could irrigate (and irrigate through the dessert untill I arrived at the cities, but since there's a long range of mountains going from one side to another I can't irrigate to my other cities

My next try was the with the Egypts, here I only played a few turns, but also I couldn't irrigate here. Has anyone found a solution for this problem?

Ah, I just figured, you can only irrigate next to rivers and such. Can't believe I missed that

That's a really evil new trick, isn't it? You need fresh water at first (until electricity, I think). There are a lot of good city spots that are actually barricaded by non-irrigatable terrain, and it isn't very obvious that you won't be able to irrigate.

So, build roads and make the best of it... LOL!
