  • Startting loc... Help

    Hi,

I just started playing using the world map (the one made by the civ team) And if I take The American I doesnt start where the American are suppose to start, and plus there's like 5 civ around me, not far away but at like 10 squares of my cap.

Any explanation, maybe I'm doing something wrong when I create the game

The starting locations on the world map aren't fixed so that the Americans will start in America, Japan in Japan, etc... its random with respect to where you are placed (who you're near... well that's another matter). So its' nothing that you did.

As far as people being close to you, it sounds like you got put in/near Europe or the Far East... it'll just make your race for space more difficult.

He'd probably get placed in Europe, since America has a similar cultural group to Europe.
