Managing Factories

Howdy. Hopefully this isn't an all technical forum.

Anyway, the Civlopedia says that Factories (typically like a solar plant) say that they replace all other factories. Does this mean that once you get a factory of a different type (nuclear, solar, hydro, coal) you can sell off all other factories?

Ill assume you are referring to powerplants, not factories as there is only 1 factory you can build.

I believe if you have a coal plant, then you produce a solar plant it automatically destroys the coal plant replacing it with the solar. (the same is true in reverse if you decide to build a coal plant again). This applies to all powerplants.
