    I figured the standard rule of: modifications won't apply to saved games from Civ 2 to still be in effect, so when I added Snoopy's new terrain, I wasn't expecting to see it work on my saved game. Believe it or not, though, it did. I don't know if this will work all the time, or if I just got lucky, or what, but I thought it might be worth noting.

    All he did was modify the terrain tile graphics, and those are loaded by the game when the game starts. They';re totally independent of savegames.

    Now, if you made some changes to a BIC file, it wouldn't affect savegames because the savegame stores much of the data in the BIC file in its save file. But graphic replacements shouldn't affect your savegame in the slightest.
