why can't you move a group of units?, always one by one
normally when you attack or just moving with units you have them grouped
catapults must have defence units to protect and settlers could be guarded by units while moving
I've try'ed shift+mouse1 clicking unit, mouse2, holddown ctrl clicking .... and read the readme.txt and whole manual

shift+mouse1 click unit would be logical to use for group moving
