  • City won't grow beyond size 6 . . . bug?

Anyone else seen this. I am playing the Americans and have the city of New Your at size six with two cattle squares irrigated(I don't know if this matters...suspect only). I am playing despotism government at this time. The city gains enough food to get to size seven, but then the growth in 9999 turns shows up. It is bizarre because in this same game I have had other American cities at size 7. Any clue as to why this is occurring? The other cities that reached size seven did not have irrigated cattle squares. One other note I have played this game multiple times starting from 4000 BC over again after having the Aztec hand me my ?ss multiple times in Emporer mode( damn all Jaguar Warriors to hell), each time I have started the city of New York in the same place and had the same issue later in the game.

Uhmmm...sorry folks I hadn't read the previous posting of this issue. The answer:

City does not have a fresh water supply so it needs an aqueduct to grow beyond size six. RTFM
