playing with more than 8 civs

I can't get the game to let me play with more than 8 civs. I set the map to 'huge' and make sure to click in all sixteen civs (I've tried setting them all to random and setting them all to specific civs) and it always ends up starting the game with only 8 tribes.

I made sure to leave no slot set to 'none', but I can never get more than 8 tribes.

Is this a known bug or is there something I'm missing?

I've got 11 civ's plus myself right now going, don't know what your problem could be other than the intitial setup screens?

Sorry I couldn't help other than to say I have no problem with more than 8 civs.

The other civs might just be there.

You need to read the Readme file I think for some of the missing info you seek.
