How to change resolution without having to change desktop resolution?

I dont want to play it at the blocky and ugly 1024x768, and my desktop is set to 1600x1024, which makes everything too small. SO...

how can i make the game resolution 1152x864 WITHOUT changing my desktop reslolution before playing everytime?

the README says to use:
Video Mode=1152

but thats a crock of sh!t,it doesnt work.

I am having this problem also. The application changes my resolution when it starts up. If I try to reset the resolution to 1600x1200 after the game has launched, it crashes.

Are you actually able to reset your resolution somehow? It clearly isn't designed into the settings.
