Big Problems !!!

I CAN'T GET IT TO WORK !!!!
I have many problems but aside from ILLEGAL OPERATIONS and crashing before the game even starts, the first clue i got was that my text was off: either off-centered, half cut off, overlapping and just looked wrong ... i was unable to read lots of stuff.

And the game won't even work for me! I have all the system requirements, and I don't know why this is happening.

I have the LIMITED EDITION copy and I can't get it to work ... If ANYBODY had a similar problem and knows how to fix it (or just wants to add a message) PLEASE let me know !!!!!!!

I would encourage you to look at some of the other threads, many other people have this problem and reported it. (Espeicailly the 3 Technical Issues Thread)

The short answere is do the following

1) Stop as many of the background applications that you can - Civ3 is a very resource intensive app

2) reduce the number of fonts in your font directory to around 256
