Was playing around with the editor, and thought it would be kewl to give Infantry and Mech-Infantry the ability to build roads, forts, and clear forests and jungles.

Excellent point!
Falconius notes:
I wonder how the AI civs would handle it, though.
For example, say I created a new type of Govt called Theocracy where there is greatly reduced corruption but no science advance. This would come in handy for war and expansion, but would the AI ever use it? Same with new units or advances.
I know in the old Civ2 rules.txt file, you could give the advances a priority that would "inspire" the AI civs to research them. Does the same work here?Question Authority.......with mime...

I read that you can assign "favourite" governments for each civ, which they'll seek to get in techs and trade, and switch to once it becomes appropriate. I guess techs can be made more or less desirable too, but that's just an assumption. The Slim End Of The Long Tail -

Ok- finally got a chance to test out the Army Engineers thing, and it works
Even the Paratroopers get the bonuses, and I can only assume the Marines will also. Hmm, that's odd- I don't remember assigning the bonuses to the Paratroops...well maybe I didn't, but its just so late from playing CivIII.... can't keep ... my.... eyes...
