        No England?!?

At least Firaxis has a sence of humour!

Those maps are a 4pm on a Friday afternoon job.

Someone dropped the ball here. Review testers must have been or something.

I hope that's only the south island of New Zealand!

And as for Australia, my place of birth is designated, not as flat desert, but as a mountain!!! The only river worth mentioning is non-existent, Firaxis has shocked both the palaeontological world with the discovery of horses in Australia and the geological world with the "Tasmanian shift", and i won't even mention the continental shelf reaching all the way to New Zealand!

I suppose with England not actually having any land mass, Australia is populated with once-marine colonists who still show their underwater roots by drinking copious amounts of beer

Hah! I thought civ1 was bad with ni Ireland. Can anyone else with the game varify this I just can't believe they left out England.
FMK could have taken out England in the editor??

Actually, the patch in the southwest corner, near Spain, that people are calling the Canaries is six tiles. I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be Britain...small, mis-shaped, out-of-place...but Britain nonetheless. Aside from this, the smaller map is slightly less bad than the "huge" map, IMHO.

It doesn't look that out of place on the mini-map, am I right?

At least the huge world map's mini-map looks almost normal opposed to the "play-map" which looks like ****.

                      Thanks

That appears to be a truely awful map. At least it will spur the creation of new maps

Is it just me or is the second image posted by FMK completely off base.....not just because England's not there, but because the entire European continent is out of proportion, tilted falsely, and just skewed to some really odd degree

                                East Asia?

Don't tell me that we have Korea and Japan sharing the same tile... or something equally hilarious and sad.
