  • BIC vs BIQ files

Hello! I have Civilization III, not Civilization: Conquests.

I downloaded the files for a Civ III mod, called Twilight of Byzantium that did not say it required CONQUESTS. The file for the scenario is a biq file. My Civ ii doesn't read .biq files, only bic ones. Are biq files special ones that only CONQUESTS editions can read? Can I get CONQUESTS for free somewhere on the internet?

BIQ are for Conquest. BIX is for PTW and BIC is for vanilla. NOt aware of any free Conuest, but you can often find it for less than 10 bucks.

Twillight of Byzantium is for Conquests. Conquests isn't free, but you can find it inexpensively on download services such as Steam ($5 US, Civ3Complete), Impulse (also $5 US, Civ3Complete), and Direct2Drive. The options may vary depending on your country.
